Caitlin Lang is an emerging artist living and working in Adelaide, South Australia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Contemporary Art majoring in Ceramics from the University of South Australia in 2020 and went on to complete her Honours degree in 2021. Her work has been exhibited in Paris for 1000 Vases and highly commended in the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize. 

 

Lang is a ceramic sculptor exploring visual elegy in the midst of ecological change and our connection with the natural world. After sculpting each porcelain contour coil by coil she then begins the process of placing thousands of individual and indelible perforations into the undulating clay body. Her practice coalescing humans and nature.
